Privacy policy
The short version: no cookies, no ads, no trackers.
updated 14 September 2026This site sets no cookies and runs no ad or analytics trackers. The only third-party measurement is Vercel's Speed Insights, which records page-load performance anonymously. The details are below, and they're short.
What this site collects
Nothing personal. otdan.com is a set of static files: there is no account system, no comment section, no database, and nothing for you to log in to.
Two kinds of anonymous measurement exist, both standard for a hosted site:
- Hosting logs. The site is served by Vercel, which keeps routine request logs (pages served, response times, rough region) for security and abuse prevention.
- Speed Insights. Vercel's performance script measures how long pages take to load. It is cookieless and collects no identifying information — it answers "is the site fast?", not "who is visiting?".
When the page refreshes its public counters (GitHub stars, download and view totals), your browser requests that public data directly from GitHub's, SpigotMC's and YouTube's public APIs. Those providers see the request the same way any website you visit does, and this site sends them nothing about you.
What stays in your browser
Two small values are kept in your browser's session storage and are never transmitted anywhere — they exist so the page behaves politely during your visit:
-
otdan:nudge-shown— remembers that you dismissed (or acted on) the "still here?" message, so it doesn't reappear. -
otdan-live-stats-v1— caches the public counter values for an hour so in-site navigation doesn't re-fetch them.
Both disappear when you close the tab or clear your browser. No cookies are set, so there is nothing for a cookie banner to be about.
When you contact me
If you email otdanofficial@gmail.com or message me on Discord, I use what you send only to reply and to do the work we discuss. I don't add anyone to mailing lists, and I don't share your details with third parties.
Links to other sites
This site links to GitHub, YouTube, X, Discord, Steam, Thunderstore and SpigotMC, among others. Once you leave otdan.com, those platforms' own privacy policies apply — I have no control over how they handle your data.
Questions or removal requests
If you want to know anything about the above, or you'd like your name or work removed from a project write-up, email otdanofficial@gmail.com and I'll sort it out.
If this policy changes, the update date at the top of the page moves. Any material change will be described here in plain language.
